A Very Sloan edition of FiveSongMixTape

Sloan is a Canadian band that has been crafting album after album of superb music informed by 60s and 90s guitar pop and 70s riff-rock since 1991. All four members of the band sing and write songs and are adept multi-instrumentalists outside of their normal roles. To celebrate the fact that I am seeing them tonight, all of the songs on this edition of Five Song Mix Tape are Sloan songs.

1) Sloan - Money City Maniacs - Navy Blues (1998) (sung by Patrick Pentland)

2) Sloan - G Turns to D - One Chord to Another (1996) (sung by Chris Murphy)

3) Sloan - Witch’s Wand - Parallel Play (2008) (sung by Jay Ferguson)

4) Sloan - Sinking Ships - Navy Blues (1998) (sung by Andrew Scott)

5) Sloan - I Hate My Generation - Twice Removed (1994) (sung by Jay Ferguson and Chris Murphy)
